Dr. Wheeler loves solving problems and is passionate about working on the enormous primary care shortage in the US. He thinks direct primary care is an elegant way to align the incentives of doctors, patients and employers. Dr. Wheeler’s mission is to create a platform to allow clinicians to care for patients in a way that is meaningful to both groups, affordable for patients, and accessible to anyone. He has a special interest in general pediatrics, mental health, medical weight loss, and health care reform. Dr. Wheeler is a gifted speaker and teacher. In 2021 he won Columbia, Missouri’s Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2019 he won the University of Missouri Best Young Physician award. In his spare time he likes driving or fly fishing. His hometown is Bolivar, Missouri.
